It's been an emotional day...

...and no, once again I am not referencing the Michael Jackson situation.

I am of course talking about Spike's game on Deal or No Deal today.

If you're not familiar with Spike then you my friend, have missed out.

He's been on the show for about a month, and his emotional involvement in other people's games has been the primary reason to watch the show.

For example, here he is in pensive mode:

And here he is, devastated at having just revealed the £250,000:

For weeks James and I have been asking ourselves, if he's this emotionally invested in other people's games, how will he react when it's his turn to play?

Well today we found out! And he didn't disappoint.

Here is Spike's game in pictures:

Lo, he is summoned!

He can't believe it!

The lady next to him gets caught up in the emotion of it all:

He takes the walk of wealth:

And shares a joke with Noel when he reaches the hot seat:

A good opening round follows:

Here he is telling the viewers why they should come back after the break:

As he does this, Noel creeps up behind him:

It's a tense second round:

But things starts to go his way:

Carefully considering his next move, before electing to deal:

Oh no, did he deal too early?:

Nope! He finds the £250,000:

Relief:

And big hugs:

There's going to be no point watching now he's gone...

So glad you've saved me the bother of watching it, with your edited highlights. I don't think I could cope with the emotional upheaval.
