It’s that time again!

It’s Friday afternoon, this can only mean one thing. It’s time for another gripping instalment of ‘things I saw this week’.

It’s only a short one this time around, because I just got soaked through by a veritable Biblical rain storm and need to go to the toilet and dry my socks in the Dyson Airblade.

So, without further ado, this week we were going through my dad’s drawer of odds and ends and we came across his old football programmes.

We flicked through them and found this letter:

Click on the picture to maximise

Which speaks for itself…

And this picture:

A man, in a top hat, holding up a stuffed fox, with a very serious facial expression, and absolutely no explanation. Treat yourself to a new desktop background on me.

And finally, a friend emailed me this 1940’s STI awareness poster a couple of days ago. I felt I had to share:

Right, must dash, I have socks to dry.

My knowledge of things football is non-existent, but could the fox picture be a Leicester thing? I think i) they have a fox mascot called Filbert, and ii) they play in blue.

I'm fairly sure that the guy with the fox is Twinkletoes(now deceased) an eccentric fella that used to be the mascot for Carlisle united. I don't really like football but 'c'mon the Blues'
