It was a massive hardb...You know you may be right.<br /><br />It was a massive hardback about Captain Kidd, who was, contrary to accepted opinion, not a pirate, but a privateer, hired by the king and some nobles to hunt pirates and reclaim their booty. But when the East India Trading Company kicked up a fuss about it (the goods were stolen from them, and should be given back to them, and not to the king of England) Kidd got stitched up and falsely branded a pirate to save their asses.
